VIA rail operates up to 503 trains weekly on 12,500 kilometres of track, from coast to coast and north to Hudson Bay – including year-round, all-weather services such as the legendary Canadian.

In the west VIA rail trains regularly run between Jasper, Alberta and Prince Rupert, British Columbia – Winnipeg and Churchill, Manitoba – and Victoria and Courtenay on Vancouver Island.

In Eastern Canada VIA rail’s Chaleur runs three times each between Montreal and Gaspé – while the state-of-the-art Ocean runs  between Montreal and Halifax six times each week.
